SES San Jose Backlash - Apperantly I’m a pimp???

6 people have left comments. Leave a coment

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or subscribe via email. Thanks for visiting!

I was sitting at the office minding my own business when low and behold (re-bicca) or rebecca from SEOMOZ pinged me and wanted me to check out her new comic strip. I was pretty suprised/honored to be mentioned on this comic strip however I never thought of myself as k-fed or a pimp.

Perhaps I’m in the wrong profession?

Check out the SES San Jose Comic strip here.

My Search Engine Strategies Re-cap

11 people have left comments. Leave a coment

Overall, it seemed like more people where attending the Social media, local search, blogs and feeds and mobile search classes. I ended up moving around and leaving a few classes that where not ideal for my time and moving into other classes that could be more beneficial. It seemed most of the social media classes, blog and rss feed, mobile and local classes where the hardest to find seats and almost impossible to find a power outlet for my laptop. The speakers did a far job and I really loved the Q & A after each session. I had a lot of questions that needed answering and its a nice way to put my name and my company out there ;-0.

Getting ready for SES NY!

No people have left comments. Leave a coment

I am in the middle of doing some packing and getting some work done as I will be gone most of the week on a trip to New York for SES. This is my first SES and I am really looking forward to meeting some industry leaders and making some new contacts. There are also some interesting sessions going on about mobile search and social media which I am interested in attending.

So what are the steps to a perfect SES trip? I am not really sure but here are mine ;-).

1) Create the most kickass IPOD playlist you can. For me I am usually on edge when I fly so I am choosing some relaxing music. Kean, Coldplay, james bluntt etc. This playlist is a complete 180 from my workout playlist which is NINE INCH NAILs, marilyn manson, disturbed, inflames, tool, incubus, audiovent, audioslave etc.

2) Must spend some QT with the doggies. They will miss their daddy. Jubilee is the white one and chubaca(chewy) is the brown one.

doggies

3) I am packing pretty light and not bringing any nail clippers as I dont want to carry to much stuff and I really dont want to take the chance of my bags being lost. Last time I flew I brought nail clippers and I was immediatly detained and stripped searched. I wont make that mistake again.\

4) Must spend some QT with my true love, my wife. I love you baby!

5) Map out your SES agenda and make sure you schedule networking moments in advance.

6) Meet as many people as I can. Be open, friendly and willing to learn and teach!

Lets hope this list works out for me ;-)

Elite Retreat interview with Kris Jones and Lee Dodd

One people have left comments. Leave a coment

I am doing a series of post’s over at Blog.lunarpages.com about elite retreat speakers and how attendee’s will be able to take real world applications to problems they encounter while doing business online and apply them in today’s market place. The price tag for elite retreat definitely gives meaning to it being elite but my goal is to show people the worth behind a convention like this. Yes it cost’s around 5 grand to go to this convention but you have to look at what you are getting for this price. You are literally getting one on one consulting with industry leaders. Lets break it down like this.

Business card competition with Andrea Schoemaker | here are my cards

No people have left comments. Leave a coment

Ok so here are my cards. No photo shopping, no tricking just straight cards. I wanted to post a photo of them to see if I can coax andrea in showing her cards as well to determine a true winner ;-).

I think maybe I should have tried to get more cards and lose less money in vegas :-P

Affiliate Summit West - 2007 Roundup

affiliate summit logo

I woke up around 8:00 on sunday morning to go to vegas for affiliate summit west 2007. I made the mistake of wearing shorts to vegas which was a shocking 30 degrees with a wind chill factor of a billion! We rolled in like a true crew ready for the summit, drinks and gambling. We immediatly registered and networked for a while and meet some interesting people. Greg and Brian from BOTW, Brandy from webmaster radio, Andrew Wee, Andrea Schoemaker, Jeremy Schoemaker, some people from pay per post and many many other top affiliates and contacts.

One of the best parts of affiliate summit was the Q&A super affiliate panel. You can see the questions and answer over at conversation rater and pay close attention to web hosting questions as me and amy put forth a pretty big amount of the classes questions.

My general take on affiliate summit
One problem I think needs some serious attention concerning affiliate summit is the knowledge base and notablility of each speaker and also making sure each session comes off without a hitch as we ran into some. OVER-ALL I took away something from each class and contact I made at affiliate summit.

Check out Lunarpages web hosting blog to see more info on our trip and photos of the event. We have some funny quotes, photoshopped pics and much more!!

Andrea Schoemaker’s busines card challange | Affiliate Summit - You are going down sista!

4 people have left comments. Leave a coment

Today Andrea Schoemaker posted that she is going to accept my challange at affiliate summit. Andrew wee is also taking on this networking approach and he is an advisary I will have to keep my eye on. I’m watching you andrew but maybe we should team up because andrea is going to be tough to beat bro!!! lol. The challange is simply this: The person with the most business cards at the end of affiliate summit wins! Now of course marketing yourself, your company and your services by networking is the true goal at affiliate summit but why not make it a lil more interesting? I am totally challanging Andrea Schoemaker over at planetandrea.com to a business card networking challange.

No rules except one. Be the person with the most business cards or face blog humiliation!!!

Its on andrea and I’m bring my sexy!

I also have a secret weapon… the lunarpages marketing team ninja’s!!!
