Some very interesting things in search are happening this week. Check out what I have found.

Yahoo introduces new feature called “robots nocontent”. This new code will tell robots what content should be used for search and what content is boiler plate text like headers, footers and copyright info.

Microsoft introduces new upgrade for its adcenter.

Ask.com announces new search algorithm, code name “Edison“.

Hit Wise was acquired by Experian.

Yahoo looking into acquiring Right Media Ad company. Web Pro news has further coverage on this topic.

Google makes deals with states to make public records more accessable.
